So the rich don't have negs?

I had a negative feedback removed for free. The guy called me 'duck face' because I dared to comment that my purchase was not the one pictured (ie. Not SONY). He also neged (is that a word?) others and promptly unregistered so I guess that's why it was free!!!

Save your money - respond showing what really happened and live with it. They'll soon be forgotten.

Puppy, I agree with both posts! So many times I see a reply that has gone off the deep end and makes the situation worse!
I had a neg over a year ago for something I simply didn't do and just got a netural because a lady didn't like the way a dress looked on her! What can you do? You are working with all kinds...just take it in stride and remember this when reading another person's feedback. Wink

and I wish that eBay would implement a way to view the neutral and/or negative feedback with a tab.

For the most part someone that posts neutral feedback is trying to be fair, but bring one's attention to facts that may be pertinate. Often the reply from the seller brings out another layer of the problem.

One seller that I had problems with, when I went back to check and viewed feedback 200 to the page revealed several posts of others that had the same problems I had.

Most folks would miss this because of the number of rubber stamp feedbacks that got posted when the package arrived before inspection! So the neutarl gets buried and doesn't damage the % rating.

Had I been able to view the neutral feedback on a separate page, I as a new bidder at that time might have been protected. I've learned since to email questions every time.
Puppy - I really love that site. Sure makes reading when some of the power sellers have 100s of negs and neutrals.

Couple of questions -

When I first started going online, I was told that constantly using caps was a way of yelling. If you read someone's feedback, if the reply or follow-up is written all in caps, but the original post is regular (?) typing, whom are you more apt to believe?

And the other question -

Would you consider it derogatory for a person to leave a negative feed back that ends "FB!"?

Thanks,
Crafty

Six inches Lord, that's all I need!
Considering how reluctant most people are to leave negative feedback, for fear of retaliation, I generally take negs seriously. Any feedback rating below about 99%, I take the time to look up in depth(at max page length). The odd complaint, I easily ignore - you can't please everyone. But when I see a pattern of complaints about the same type of thing, I avoid that seller.

Sometimes, you'll read buyer after buyer raving about fast shipping on great items, etc. but also a fair minority complaining about seriously late shipping, no answer to emails or calls, and items never arriving at all. Is the seller great or terrible? I figure he's just sloppy, hit or miss, maybe overextended. So, the question I gotta ask myself is, Am I feeling lucky today?

Well... I remember that, and know what you're talking about. Depends on what FB means! (Could stand for 'Feed Back') However if it means what you and I suspect, then YES I would, VERY MUCH.

Am I reading your mind?

If you’re thinking to try and have it removed, just remember what kind of ding-dong you're dealing with. You may, and probably will, have to deal with it again. Because of the feedback you left, they have nothing to lose. Personally, I wouldn't bother even trying. It will soon be buried and forgotten, but of course the choice is yours. Either way, Good Luck.

Mrs M I was sure it was you that wouldnt touch Bj's little program when it was first offered to us?

Maybe I am having a bimbo moment - again Roll Eyes

I have it downloaded from mths ago, but I dont have much call to use it lately, actually...I havent been bothered checking the Negs from sellers lately. I am getting to be a lazy buyer. Confused

Lexie
Puppy - we're on the same wavelength. I noticed that she has left the same comment on a couple of other peoples' feedback and it seems that someone else has already reported her.

When I reported her to eBay for spamming me, I did make mention of the 'FB' and now that I've gone back and checked some of the feedback that she has left for others and seen the same thing - I know she'll get what is coming to her. What goes around comes around! I feel that I handled myself well when responding to her comments and hopefully sellers won't hold it against me. I haven't had any other problems with buying so I'll just let it go down the drain. I've already wasted too much energy on her.

Thanks everybody,
Crafty

Lexie ... I was fairly new to AS at that time (still am, I guess!) and there were a few people that said they don't usually download programs willy-nilly from the internet (I'm paraphrasing here!). Now that people know a little more about me perhaps it's easier to trust that my programs are begnine Wink

If you *do* want to use the program, and downloaded it when I first posted it you'll need the most current version. eBay changed their feedback pages so I had to make a few tweaks Smile Make sure you 'uninstall' the version you have now before installing the newer one!

Mother Mary Says, 'HONESTLY! you're just ruint!'
First thanks for the welcomes...

Not sure yet how I'm going to "create" the time for these forum, but I like the tone...still miss the old days of QLink nad Rainbow BBS.

Puppy your link sure seems to be the ticket! Very helpful

Mother download looks interesting too, but I'd like to read a bit more before dl.

Thanks again

Yes, Bj, I did say that! Bj , you were new and unknown to us at the time. Of course, I was not going to "jump in"! However, Bj, as you know, because of some circumstances, I have gotten to know you much better, so I do now trust you! WinkI really like the program. It has some features that the old one I used didn't! Smile Keep up the good work!
