I just joined and I can't snipe an auction. Most of the time I can't get into the "my snipes" tab, it just sends me back to the home page. When I do get in the "my snipes" page and enter the item number etc. and hit add, it sends me back to the home page. It shows that I'm logged in but when I try to log out to come back in and try again, it won't show me as logged out. I really don't understand what's going on. Confused

Do you know why the Modify Snipes function keeps throwing me back into the Home Page???

Probably because you're not signed in. Which is probably because you didnt check the "Remember me" box under your username and password when you sign in.

Check it.

Unless you're at a public computer at a library, school, or something like that.

We only keep you signed in a for a few minutes unless you check that box.

This is from AS' faq:

I’m an AOL user, and it keeps taking me back to the login screen?

AOL’s security setting is defaulted to a higher setting than what is allowed for cookies. To change this: the easiest way is to minimize AOL, then open Internet Explorer (it comes with Windows) and follow the directions in #60. Or if you have Netscape, follow the directions in #60 for that.

I can’t sign in! It keeps taking me back to the sign-in screen!

There are several reasons this can happen.

Your security settings may be set too high to allow a cookie from us. You will either need to lower your settings to allow a cookie from us, or you must explicitly include us in cookies if you want to keep the higher security setting.

You may also have some program like "Gator" that automatically fills in passwords and may be putting in the wrong one.

Hope that helps.
