Until I found AS, I had no idea of what I was..a manual sniper. I swear I knew it was kinda sneaky, but I didn't know there was an actual name for it, or that other people thought the same way as I. I would patiently watch an auction sit all week with 1 or no bids, then refresh, refresh, refresh, and BAM a last second bid to win. I honestly thought I was just a smarter bidder than most folks. My reasoning was to keep the price super low and still win the item. Well, yesterday there was an item I really wanted badly, and there I was the last 10 seconds, manually sniping it, and a computer snipe put me out of action and won the bid! Man, was I pissed! Then by chance, someone turned me on to AS. I won with it last nite, and won't look back. There is an item I wanted today, but bidding wars have driven the price up to more than it sells retail. Don't these fools have any sense? I NEVER bid on an item I want early, and let anyone know I want it. I love the herd mentality when I am selling, it drives the price up, but it sure sucks from a buyers standpoint. Anyhoo, I just wanted to say hello and say that finding this forum has helped me answer alot of questions I've had regarding Ebay, auctions, and sniping. Now, I have one question please: Although I can see that AS is working on my system, when I access AS on certain "READY" items, the timer is correct but the high bid amount is always lagging, by ALOT! When I refresh, it doesn't go up to meet the price on the actual auction. Is this a bug in the prog? Thanks, Nice to meet you! Karen
