Interesting auction! Lots of activity in the last 5 minutes of the auction! -- 7 bids, price climbs from $20.50 to $31.01. (Bet the seller was happy to see that!)

Your snipe would have had to be at least $32.01 in order to be placed, otherwise it would have been considered "Bid too low".

guess thats where I went wrong

Wait a minute! Your snipe was an odd amount ($31.53 vs $31.00 or $31.50), which is good. Your snipe at $31.53 SHOULD have been the maximum you were willing to spend, to possibly win you would have had to exceed that maximum (by bidding at least $32.01). Unfortunately auction circumstances of current bid price vs. bid increment prevented your bid from being placed, BUT you didn't end up spending more than you wanted for the item.

You didn't do anything "wrong"! I think you did just about everything right. This is an auction, and you win some, lose some, even WITH sniping!
Chin up & better luck next time! Smile
