My maximum bid.

I am new to AS and posted my maximum bid for an item, and got an outbid notice from AS, however when I went to ebay there is no bid in that amount on ebay. Does this mean there is a mistake or has another sniper bid on this item and Ebay does not even know that 2 snipers are bidding on the same item? Thank for your help.

EBay only shows the amount necessary to outbid the opposition, which in this case was you. It's likely that your opponent placed a higher bid than necessary. EBay neither knows nor cares whether snipe software is being used, so long as it's not advertised on eBay.
