Hi all.

I have always used a 5 second lead on my snipes, except for the last snipe I made, and have never had an issue. That is not to say it cannot happen, but I am satisfied with the results so far. Been sniper for a little over a year, and I don't recall that I have lost one yet while sniping. Maybe one, but i am not sure.

Snipe on!

Michael,
That's true, but unfortunately, there are others that aren't as tolerant as you are. I've seen some snipers come on this forum and complain about a 5 second snipe not getting placed after they've had 100 successful snipes. So, Steve, Chatter, AS and myself recommend longer lead times, so that those with a quick temper, don't temper. Especially on Sunday evenings and auctions that end on the quarter hour. Wink

Hoefully, Steve and Chatter will give you their opinions.

I use 8-second lead times most of the time. On Sunday nights and when the auction ends exactly on the quarter hour, I use 20 seconds. All have consisently worked well for me.

Thanks, Rick and Steve, for your attention during the recent AS difficulties. I am gearing up for a major relocation next week, to another state, so my online time has been more limited than usual. Red Face
