Multiple Snipers

I don't worry about cutting it real close - the person with the highest bid wins, not the last bid.

So put your snipe in with the most you're willing to spend, then if there is another sniper and his max is not as high as yours - you win. Even if his max is the same as yours - you win since you were there first. If his max was hiher than yours - well you didn't want to spend that much anyway.

That's providing your snipe gets placed first. In the situation where you both bid the same amount, it would all depend on both your lead times and which snipe ebay gets first, which no one will know until the auction is over.
