Multiple identities?

I have been curious about a seller who never puts item with minimum bid(expensive stuff) and always seems to 'sell', When I looked at bidding history am really confused!

The bidders are few, but their names are many. One bidder who bids a lot ( dozens of items in a month) has at least 8 names. These names do not appear on the feedback.

Can anyone tell me what's going on? This seems fishy, or am I being paranoid?

PatZ, how do you know that one bidder uses eight names (I presume you mean userids)? That aside, it's not against eBay rules to have more than one userid and I suppose some people have that many, perhaps more.

Some sellers attract followings, and seemingly have no difficulty selling their wares without a reserve and/or with a low starting bid. There could be something phony about this guy, like the bidders are shills, or maybe he's on the up-and-up. Eventually, if he's cheating he'll get caught.
