First time poster, long time AS user.

Been having an odd problem with AS for the past week or two. I lost a snipe & the AS email I received said my eBay user ID & password were invalide - I freaked assuming my eBay account had been hacked & quickly confirmed my login details there. Then came back & confirmed the stored eBay account info was accurate.

A fluke? It has happened before - simple oddities I chalk up to the rumblings of the internet.

The annoying thing was all of my waiting snipes now had a large yellow banner warning me of the potentially invalid account details.

I then lost another snipe with the same error message & really began to get concerned, but shortly after, I won. No rhyme nor reason to it.

When I enter a new snipe, I do not have the warning banner on the new snipe. But as soona s I lose a snipe with that error message, they all get it. Annoying - I can delete & reenter the snipe - or modify it - and it goes away.

I've been watching these errors closely & it appears I'm getting them when my bid is too low or below increment - it is quite odd.

Came here to review old problems & see this is minor compared to some of the oddities, but thought I'd throw it out there for discussion. I have sent a notice to support asking their advice.

Here's a new one!

With 2 hrs. left to go on this auction: http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=4437919639 AS is giving me the "outbid alert". Zero bids, starting price $22, my ready bid $23.86.

I changed it to $23.87 and got rid of the error message.

The interesting part is that I got an outbid notification e-mailed to me as well for: "eBay Item: FANFARE TRUMPET...Brass VOCOTONE by W.J. DYER 4437919639"!

According to ebay, the FANFARE TRUMPET...Brass VOCOTONE by W.J. DYER is item #7387679007.

If I win a gigantic musical instrument, I'm going to be peeved. Roll Eyes
