Do you know why the Modify Snipes function keeps throwing me back into the Home Page???

When I try to click back into the My Snipes page it won't let me. I can't log in again, because it says I'm logged in already. Sometimes (about half the time) it also does this when I try to update the auction statistics.

It's done this before, then it cleared up for a while, now it's doing it again.

This happens mostly at work, where we're going thru a Novell proxy, but occasionally it does this at home, too.

If I close the browser & re-open it and keep logging in, eventually it starts working after about the 5th try.

Thanks
Charlie

There is no DemoRats.com/.org company, it's just me... I used to have an actual political humor web site DemoRats.com during the Clinton dark-ages, but when we got a REAL President I saw no more need for it so I just forward it to the RNC web page now.

One of these days I plan to install some "Jive", "Eubonics, or "Pig-Latin" software on my web server & let it render a Jive version of Democrats.org. Should be indistinguishable from the real thing.

Oh by the way AuctionSniper Support, I think I solved my own problem:
I had certain unsigned ActiveX & Script security settings in IE set to prompt me. I returned back to IE's default security settings, and the problem I was having with Auction Sniper disappeared!

Probably because you're not signed in. Which is probably because you didnt check the "Remember me" box under your username and password when you sign in.

Check it.

Unless you're at a public computer at a library, school, or something like that.

We only keep you signed in a for a few minutes unless you check that box.

Thanks Sarah, but I almost always check the "Remember Me" box, even tho it keeps un-checking it... But it doesn't seem to matter (it never remembers me anyway, whether I check the box or not. I still have to log in each time, even tho I have cookies enabled).

Even when it tossed me back to the Home Page, the login box was replaced with a box that had linkes to either keep Sniping or logout - But neither of the links ever worked. No matter which I clicked on it would just refresh the Home page and still not display the Usrename/Password box unless I closed the browser & came back into Auction Sniper in a new browser window.

I'm running IE6 on Windows 2000 Pro with all the latest Windows Updates and default IE security settings (cookies enabled). AT home I use a NAT router/firewall plus a software firewall and at work we have several levels of firewalls and a Proxy Server. Who knows, maybe that's the problem.

Hmm... It remembered me today at home but usually it doesn't. Maybe you've fixed something? I also had to re-install McAfee the other day... Maybe that fixed something on my end.

Thanks
Charlie
