I changed my eBay password, but "Modify Account" on AS won't let me make the change in my AS account. Error message is "invalid user id or password." Please help.

Did you maybe use some strange character or something like that? I change mine quite a bit and it works. Havent done it in a month or so though, eBay might have made a change that breaks our ability to confirm your new password, but I suspect someone else would have mentioned it. But then again you could be the first to find it.

Thanks, Sara. No, I didn't use any unusual characters. I just went back to "Modify Account" and the password change was accepted. Don't ask me why it didn't work last night.
Somebody broke into my eBay account and listed two items for sale on eBay France under my userid. I cancelled the auctions (one of which had 15 bids on it already) and got eBay to credit my account for related charges, but it was a major lesson to me to change my password every now and then. EBay says they have no way of tracing the miscreant who used my id.

That got me to change mine!
That'll lessen your chances of a similar experience, Rick. I tell you, it was Panic City there for a few minutes! I just hope I don't get any negative feedback from any of the bidders because I closed the auctions early. I did write to them (in French, where appropriate) to explain what had happened.
