Minimizing Incremental Bid | Auction Sniper

If I have bid $100 on an item using Auction Sniper, and my max is $150, and someone bids $102.50, in the last few seconds of the auction, does Auction Sniper bid just slightly above $102.50 or does it go all the way up to $150.

I just want to make sure I don‘t overpay if I don‘t have to, and that Auction Sniper keeps my next bid to a minimum, realizing I still want to win. Thanks.

AS will bid $150 (your max), and you'll win the auction at $105 ($102.50 + $2.50 increment). Works the same as if you placed a manual bid. ebay's proxy bidding system and increments determine the winner.

I see, so just to confirm, even though AS bids my max, or $150, ebay is "smart" enough not to "overcharge" me and ebay simply goes up by the smallest increment possible?

Is that an accurate way to look at it?
