No idea what £©$E_IT_A££ is on about so here's my response.

The AS message isn't too clear and without the Auction number no-one can give you an exact answer. I did try to check out your user ID, the closest match was oldyellar but that gave no clues. Perhaps an AS employee could explain this message?!

I don't think AS checks whether two members of AS are going for the same item (why would they?) and, obviously, there are a number of similar sniping services out there.

I suggest you go to eBay help and read up about Proxy Bids in case that's relevant here.

I also suggest that you bid odd amounts eg. 10.03 instead of 10.00 so the chances of a tie (in which case the 1st bid wins) are minimised.

Give us a bit more info. and maybe we can resolve this?

Old Yellar,

You could try clicking on the confirmation button next to your snipe. That might provide some additional info.

I don't see that as one of the "Snipe Status Message", but I did see this one:
Proxy outbid - Your snipe was successfully placed but you have were outbid by a previous bidder.
Doesn't sound like that's the right one.

Looks like a mystery.

You could try filing a support request: http://support.auctionsniper.com/

Good Luck.
No, as it would be like being jealous of your neighbour's brand new Lada motor car! Obviously I live for the day when I can create a signature as tasteful and understated as yours, until then I can only dream...

Surely IMBECILE should have an 'S' to make it plural, "can't" needs an apostrophe, "remember" has two M's, a "pacifier" means nothing to a Brit (we prefer "dummies") and I'm guessing you meant 'high horse'?

Potty Mouth problem? The Cure!

quote:
Toddlers learn quickly, especially where language is concerned. They repeat everything they hear, including curse words

quote:
you might have discovered just how quickly they will copy what they hear, and incorporate new words into their vocabulary.

quote:
So, your toddler has developed a potty mouth? If you have reached this point, you might have realized that yelling at your child and acknowledging them when they say the bad word(s) works negatively in that the frequency of their saying the bad word(s) increases

quote:
If you think about it, your child does not understand the meaning behind what they are saying

quote:
Don't waver, and don't let on that they are gaining your attention in such a manner. If the frequency of their saying the word increases uncomfortably so or you feel you must correct them, simply tell them firmly yet in a level tone of voice "we do not say those words in this house" and then refuse to acknowledge them until they can speak politely.

I've been reporting. I almost posted something yesterday but decided not to give him/her another excuse to post obscenities.

Fortunately most kids grow out of such language. I wonder if Lose-it-All's parents know he/she is playing on the computer?

And I agree with you--that signature is very annoying!

....You are just as pathetic...<snip>...Old hags like you...<snip>....Get off your welfare collecting fat ass and get a life.<snip>...just in case you have no idea which most of the time you dont.<snip>...I dont respect old farts like you who likes to butt in on other peoples affairs.
Win, this is a public forum/bulletin board -- there ARE no private affairs unless you take an exchange/conversation to private messages/posts. So if you don't respect anybody here, why are you here??? Confused

Im referring to you gay

I presume that means you have sexual orientation problems of some sort. However, this is not really the correct place to seek advice. Consult a gender physician.

Just so you know gal Im 40 yrs old

I would have never guessed that in a thousand years. Troubled teenager with acne & no girl friend is what comes across loud & clear!

Your folks probably didnt teach you to respect others first before you get the respect from them.

Major problems with the English language indicate a clear lack of education. Shame really. Puts you at a grave disadvantage in life. Have you thought of night school?

Get off your welfare collecting fat ass
Your view of the non working poor indicates unskilled blue collar status. Why don't you get a skill? Might change your view of life.

Before you leave, remember one thing, trading insults with your betters will not get you far in life.

Now where was I before you disturbed my peace? Ah yes, fishing in the Bolgoda lake.
Jabber, I've found that people like Lose-it-all do not respect others because they have no self-respect. That's where it all starts. You'll notice he/she had to try to invent a false picture of me (old and on welfare--neither is true) to give him/herself an excuse to lash out.

Having been around many troubled teenagers and some cases of arrested emotional development, Lose-it-all's rants don't impress me. I've seen worse. I do, however, think that AS should take notice and remove him/her because his/her temper tantrums and foul language are likely to deter users.
