I had never heard of that way of eating/drinking Tim Tams. I've had my annual fix, so I'll trying that next Christmas. Sounds very, very good, so thanks for the info.
Once again, my Aussie slang translation aid has a spelling problem. It lists it as only "bickie". Doing a google on "bickie" gets 76 hits, whereas "bikkie" gets 148. Both appear to be correct, but "bikkie" is more correct.

I didnt think Yanks had Tim Tams??? Jen Love Hewitt always pleads with us Aussies to send Tim Tams to her fan place coz she cant get them over there.
My hubbie and I had alot of trouble with the biscuits v's cookies language barrier. I kept asking him if he wanted some "biscuits" and he would always say no....so I just bought some and he ate the whole packet. Apparently he loves "cookies" but biscuits are like our damper.

The only thing I can compare biscuits to is "Damper" which is like a basic old fashioned bread with no yeast.
Damper used to be made when you were camping coz you could bake it in a camp oven without much fuss.
You can make all different kinds.....garlic and herb, beer, pizza and sultana (raisons) for breakfast.
When we were camping as kids, we would get long sticks, roll some damper onto the end of the stick and roast it over the fire....yummmmmmm!!

Lexie, what a silly name for a biscuit! I saw "damper" in your first post that I quoted, but didn't realize THAT was what Aussies call "biscuits". So if you have more than one "biscuit", is it called "dampers"? Or is "damper" the term used whether there is one or more?

- Jelly Worms = snakes
- Pop = soft drink
- Ladies Wallet = Purse
- Ladies Purse = Handbag (that one causes heaps of arguements )
I am sure there are a million more but I cant think of them off the top of my head (in 90 heat)
