then AS takes action and bumps the price to $36.
No. Your BID would be $36. Whether the PRICE jumps to $36 is determined by the other bidder's bid amount. The closing PRICE will be determined by ebay's proxy bidding and bid increments.

So you can't set it up so it bids for you in like $2 intervals.
Correct.
Oh, OK I get it now - so if I am not winning by the last 6 seconds - the AS activates and my bid rises to $36.

Hopefully my logic is correct. Thanks a lot, I really appriciate it - because tonight I was winning and in the last 6 seconds some guy sniped me Mad So I thought I would join in Big Grin

Wish me luck (and correct me If I am wrong)

Thankyou.

No. AS places your bid whether you’re “winning” or not. Ebay will determine who’s the winner and the closing price of the auction. If your snipe amount (aka maximum bid) is lower then the allowable ebay bid amount, then ebay, not AS, will not allow the snipe to be placed.

P.S. DON'T PLACE A MANUAL PROXY BID VIA EBAY - ONLY PLACE A SNIPE VIA AS. You can do both, but it's not what snipers usually do.
You should take a look at ebay’s help and read up on proxy bidding and bid increments. There’s also some info on those in AS’ help/faqs. If you don’t understand proxy bidding and bid increments, ebay will probably be a very confusing place.

P.S. ebay and AuctionSniper are two different companies.
I went to the link, found the 'cancel bid' tab and it takes me to this screen:

http://offer.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?CancelBidShow&ssPageName=

However, when I enter all the info in - it goes to the next page and says "d-suhiti is not the seller for item # 190084280098.Only the seller is allowed to cancel a bid on an auction. If you are the seller, please go back, correct the User ID and try again "

What should I do??
I think I should contact the seller, make him cancel my bids and then start over with AS.

I'll go email him now.

EDIT: Yeh, I emailed him, and now waiting for his reply - but I think he will delete my bids. So after he deletes ll my bids, I come here and add the item and it's maximum bid and then leave it until the auction closes. So I DON'T bid on eBay but only here and leave it at that.

Am I correct, because this item is important.

Thanks a lot to everyone.

LOL, OK thanks for letting me know. I know cancelled my bids and now using only AS to bid -as you guys recommended.

Oh, I also notified the seller of my confusion (due to you Wink ) and told him to ignore my previous message.

Yeh, I'm not betting on anything important like a car or anything - so it's safe to use AS, it only costs like $30 anyway.

Thanks for helping me, you guys answered and helped me so much - to make this experience great with AS and eBay. So thanks heaps!!!

I will let you know how I go with the bid on Saturday night.

Thanks
d-suhiti
