First timer so I apologize if this has been asked and answered (I did call myself looking in the help and FAQ and Forum).

Here goes: I've already been an eBayer and have an account. I've signed up with Auction Sniper and provided my eBay login details and email addy. AC correctly logged into my account and showed me my watched items list. I've imported into My Snipes the item I want to snipe. I provided the item number, the quantity (1), the time (7 seconds) and my Max Bid ($506.99).

Then I read the eBay bid increments listing from the AC link to eBay and decided to edit my Max bid to $511.99. The problem is I'm uncertain if I'm doing it right.

I clicked on My Snipes, checked the item I want to edit the Max Bid of, clicked on "edit selected" and have before me the "Editing Snipes" form. The current bid on the item is $381.00. My Max Bid is shown in the text field as $386.00. Do I just edit that amount to $511.99?

Thanks for any help.

Just to be sure, I deleted the snipe and then reentered it using the new Max Bid amount, but for future reference I would still like to know the answer to my question if someone has the correct info and the time and inclination to respond.

I am eager to try out this service!

Thanks again,

Hi Ada

No need to go down that twisty route - on the My Snipes page you will see an entry for each of your snipes. You will also see a series of buttons: [Add note] [Modify] [Cancel]
Click on modify and you can change the snipe amount and the lead time. Thinking about it, that button's right next to the cancel button that you must have used to delete the snipe so how did you miss it? Wink

Next, I notice your new snipe as 511.99 - what'll happen if someone bids a nice round 512.00 - I recommend you think of a max that you want to spend and then and few pence/cents so 512.12 might be better. [Shops use .99 to make things look cheaper - no reason to do that here].

FYI - Edit Selected does the same thing - it just lets you modify several snipes at once. Why did you not just enter the new amount and see what happened? In my experience people rarely die if you try things out! Razz

Thanks, R2.

I really only wanted to go up to $500.00 but when I read the bid increments policy I thought: "What if someone bids a nice round $500.00?" That's why I was going to set my max bid to $512.99, in case someone bid the next increment ($510.00). But after reading your comment, I revised my Max Bid again (the easy way this time) to $500.02.

BTW: I Won! Yessssss.

One snipe with AS, One win!

I'm sold.
