You might want to do more research. I know this is a lot to ask, but could you read my post on this topic, and if you have additional doubts, then:

Have you ever read "Fahrenheit 451"? If you had, then you would understand why book-burners would want to burn in.

Back to my "book burning statement". Looks like there's a bunch of people looking for something when it's not there, or perhaps some people don't read, books nor posts. LOOK OUT - NOW RICK WANTS TO BURN POSTS.

Some people think the silliest things on a forum.

(There's a bunch of rollie-eye graemlins - with the imaginations that some people have it must be easy for them to see).

Hi Rick,
Here's an applicable Oscar Wilde quote for you:
"Always forgive your enemies; nothing annoys them so much."
--Oscar Wilde
The word enemies is too strong here, but I still like the quote! Big Grin

OK, if we're gonna start rumors about Rick burning things, here are a few suggestions:
1. Burning rubber on the freeway
2. Burning up keyboards posting to the forum
3. Burning whatever he's cooking on the grill
Any other ideas?

"Why shouldn't truth be stranger than fiction? Fiction, after all, has to make sense."

Puppy,

I noticed you stayed away from dam_mad last night. Was that wisdom, luck, or were you posted-out? Reminds me of a feeding frenzy. I think you'll agree with me on this - once someone has an opinion on something, nothing anyone says will change that opinion, at least on forums.

Notice how most people say they are open-minded? Try this experiment - tell someone that you don't think they are open-minded. If they argue with you, then you have proved your point.
When people come on with a Mad, I hate to even post with them at all. That type of personalty is hard and useless to deal with, IMO.

Rick, I thought the book burning thing was really digging in the bottom of the barrel! I guess we better do a word , phrase check before we post from now on, lest we get hauled away!! Wink Big Grin

Well, yeah, but they can be fun! Wink

It was interesting to see, between my jabbing & Shirley's feather smoothing, dam_mad actually got a little more rational, except in the continued dead horse beating, of course. Big Grin Roll Eyes

It's all in the archives:

I feel like the ghosts of posts-past (Dickens or Rickens). A little like reincarnating lost forum members. Their words live on after they leave. I would hope someone did that for me someday.
