Grrrrr!
I lost an eBay item because I had no idea the Sniper service I've used for years so happily, was broken.
I know it's not a 'blame' issue. I wonder if there's some way an automated email could be sent to members should something like this happen again in the future? At least if that was possible we'd not lose a purchase because of lack of knowledge of the service being faulty.
Keep smiling, Wilf.

emails to users of auction sniper would require forethought...it seems that this is not something found with auction sniper....if they had a redundant server, ie a backup, then it could be a very quick turnover with minimal loss...

also, if someone was intelligent enough, one might make backups of databases or at least dumps of all registered user's email addresses then when something like this happens, a pinger tool could run a script after a certain downtime is reached to spam all registered email accounts with messages notifying them of issues with the site....

but that's just another hairbrained idea that will go nowhere because it will be shot down with some very, very sarcastic response by as staff....yea, it's broke, so what, you're an idiot....hahaha

eh? Laundry, accounting, gym membership - what sort of service are you after?

All you've done in your three posts is say you are looking for other services with no reason given. I have used AS for many years now and it nearly always works for me - I would have no hesitation in recommending it to others! They've had an outage problem recently but it affects all online industries from time to time so stop your whingeing and get real!

These are very good recommendations. I hope management will hear some of them and implement them.
