Hi, I'm new to the forum but not new to Sniper.

Was very dissapointed today due to losing 2 snipes which I had set a 10 second lead time

5903176347 US $55.00 1 Bid 10 sec 15/6/2004 AM 8:02:10

5903176357 US$55.00 2 Bids 10 sec 15/6/2004 AM 8:02:16

Now I'm not new at this- it wasn't an "on the hour" auction so 10 secs is plenty and I'm kinda angry that I lost this cause these are 30 year old collector's items, I'm not likely to find them again. If the bids had gone in on time I would have won them (closing bids were $46 and $30).

Why did this happen?

Actually this wasn't our fault! Except for maybe letting you do what you did.

You put 3 items into a bid group that ended only a total of 12 seconds apart. Then you set
10 second lead times on them.

How are we supposed to know if you won if we have to bid before the previous item closes? We cant bid on time because we have to wait to see if you won the first item before bidding on the second item. etc.

You should use 1 second lead times on items like that. And in general bid group items are safest if at least 10-20 seconds apart.

I'll leave your 4 free credits, but please dont use bid groups like this anymore. A programmer will need to stop people from doing it as well.

You seem to insinuate that I placed my bids with the express purpose of getting the free bids. I don't determine the spacing between the auctions, that's up to the seller. All I asked for was an explaination.

This is one hell of a way to treat a customer. I promise you once my account hits zero auctionsniper is never going to get another cent from me. There are plenty more sniping services out there.
Oops, sorry that was me posting this. We created a test account for the Infopop messsage board company so they could fix the bug with someones broken avatar and I left myself logged in as him.
