Logging in

Thanks for helping to bring this issue to our attention. Although we had not received any reports of this issue with the Nexus 4, we have seen this reported by users of other versions of the Samsung Nexus so I suspect the behavior you are seeing is most likely a result of that same issue.

Our technical team is currently looking into this issue and we hope to be able to resolve it with a future update to our mobile app, but I am uncertain when the issue may be addressed at this time. I have shared the details of your report with them to be used in the investigation.

Even though you are unable to log into our app due to this issue, I believe you will still be able to access our mobile website successfully through your Nexus 4, which you can access by opening the browser on your phone and going to: http://www.auctionsniper.com/mobile

Alternatively, you could potentially change your eBay password to something that does not contain the number “7” (strange, I know) and update your Auction Sniper account accordingly. Once you have done so, I expect that you will be able to access your account through the app.

If it is any help, I am experiencing the same issue with an HTC One X running Android 4.1.1. type the number 7 in the username field and the app shuts down without warning.

Thanks for letting us know that you are seeing this same behavior on your HTC One X running Android 4.1.1. I have forwarded this additional information over to our technical team so it can be taken into consideration while they are working on this issue.

As I suggested to the original posted, I believe your best bet for now is to try using our mobile website by opening up the browser on your phone and navigating to: http://www.auctionsniper.com/mobile

Our mobile website has the exact same look and feel as our mobile app, so you will not be forfeiting any functionality by using our mobile website.
