lead time not working according to my setting ??

i've been using auction sniper for some time now but i just noticed on my last auction that ended tonight that my bid was placed over one minute before the auction ended which in turn allowed another bidder to place another bid.i have lead time set for 4 seconds. what's up with that ?? i don't know if auction sniper is doing this intentional but i would like an explanation .it costs me extra money and i would like to know why. any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Don’t do it, longbeard. Instead of dealing with your ACTUAL question, region2 will only try to confuse things. He can look at the auction’s bid history for years and won’t be able to tell you why the snipe was placed so early. Best to use the link I left.
