Hello,

I have a question about the lead time.
I thought this was the time the snipe system will make a bid for you.
I had an auction (#7933906086).
And if you see the bid history, you'll see that the bid was made 14sec before ending. I putted the lead on 2, so that means that the bid should be made 2 sec before, not?
Any reason for that?
Just a question, to understand the AS Wink

It ended on exactly a quarter hour. Those times are often very conjested on eBay.

Especially between 10am->1pm since that is peak hours in Europe. And from 6pm->9pm since those are peak hours in the United States. Items ending on quarter hours in those time frames our system monitors eBay and also how many other customers of ours are bidding then to determine if there might be lag and we adjust accordingly.

In the item above another sniper that bid 10 seconds before you had already placed a snipe that was $27 more.
It sounds like a good idea, but I’m curious what Sara’s response will be. There is the issue of different heavy usage periods based on country – at least that was discussed regarding U.S. and U.K. That may also apply to some of the other sites. And, if that’s true, I wonder how that would tie into the “flags” listed on top of “My Snipes”, as I seem to remember that having had a few anxious moments in their usage to non-Yank customers.
