lack of confidence in bid group

I have created a bid group folder according to the instructions in the "Bid Group Tutorial" yet when I display the items in my bid group, the message

"Auction Sniper will bid on ALL of the following"

appears before my bid group, even though I had specified 1 item when I set up the group. According to the tutorial, I am expecting to see the message

"Bid on the following until 1 item is won."

What's up? Is the message wrong, or might I possibly end up getting stuck winning multiple auctions?

In case it matters, I am using a Mac running OS 9.2.
