I just lost a bid I had set with a 7 second lead, and the bid was placed 1 minute and eight seconds before the end of auction. What is going on? Others are noting the same thing. You are indicating this is infrequent and far between, well this looks like one of your servers or more is off time. Had the bid been placed correctly, I would have won the item as another bidder had plenty of time to keep upping his price and pecking away. I have generally been very happy with auctionsniper but this is not acceptable at all and needs fixing.

I am a brand new "sniper."

I had an item I REALLY wanted to win, and was fearful of trusting AS. I was going to cancel and bid the old fashioned way, and then changed my mind.

A few minutes before the bid I was looking thru the community forum and saw an email similar to yours - AS failed, unsuccessful bid that would have won. I kind of panicked and decided to pull the plug on AS. But it was too late (under 10 minutes). Fearfully, I waited to see what would happen.

Well, AS came through for me. I won the item for well under half what I was willing to pay.

I'm not dissing your story, but I just wanted to share that AS worked very well for me on its maiden voyage.
Newbie sniper here...

I had severe reservations and was quite nervous about using AS.
I won my first auction, but it also was 42 seconds early. I had a 5 second lead time set and was surprised to see that I was the high bidder so early.

Happy that I won, but not sure what to do with the faulty lead time- my bidding seemed to trigger additional bidding by the next highest bidder. No one else had jumped in.
