Just a question

When I am proxy outbid in a snipe, I receive an e-mail stating that my snipe "could not be placed" because of proxy outbid. But in fact the snipe was placed and may be seen in the bid history, e.g., item 721116769.

I was outbid and that's no problem. (Item was not a "must have.") The snipe log tells me that I was proxy outbid, which is true. But the e-mail says the snipe was not placed, which is untrue, since it was, though unsuccesfully. Given the few instances (like last Sunday evening) when snipes really were not placed, it just seems to me that e-mails stating that snipes were not placed, when in fact they were, is not the best verbiage.
