Hey Guys!

Lots of smart people frequent this forum, maybe can help me out!

I just got this e-mail. I think it's Italian. Any idea what I've just been called?
quote:
per la spedizione in italy quando cosata??????
saluti etangari

Rick,

This is in regard to an item I have listed. So do you think maybe the "quando coseta" is "How much is the cost"? i.e. The guy's asking me "How much the shipping cost would be to Italy?"

Now what do I do? Confused I don't know Italian to reply! Should I just send the answer in english and let HIM figure it out?

Jabber, not only that, you are letting him assume you speak Italian..and the floodgates could open! I speak VERY limited Italian...if it were a couple of other languages, I could help you out, but a lot would be a latin background guess! Usually, when someone bids from a country that speaks another language, the email arrives , translated in English.

This post is quite after-the-fact! Roll Eyes I ended up going to Linda's site and translating 2 shipping methods (Air Parcel Post & the Slow Boat to China) into Italian along with estimated delivery time & cost in USD. Then I closed the note with "Thanks!" Little mix of languages there! Wink The Italian ended up bidding on my item before I sent back the shipping costs and still holds the winning bid. Listing ends tomorrow, so we'll see who ends up with it. Of course, I'm wishing for a couple nuclear snipers! Wink LOL! Big Grin
