And Great Bookstores - get a coffee and walk on down to Pioneer Square and check out my Totem Pole. Then get the ferry over to Sequim or Port Angeles and really get a look at Paradise.. In the summer the produce market is outstanding.

My absolute favorite Seattle experience was when I took a float plane from Seattle to one of the San Juan Islands. You never realize what the Olympic Mtns. really look like when all you do is drive through them.

My favorite memory of Seattle was sailing in the Puget Sound out to the Pacific Ocean. We even had Porpoise riding the bow wake from the sail boat.

There are 10,000 Alaskans who have retired and moved to Sequim and Port Angeles. Like New Yorkers go to Florida? My Dad was one of them - he retired to Sequim. I have spent a lot of time there.. Tried to schedule trips to co-incide with the Boat Races. Also built a pavilion there for AT%T for the Fair - just under the needle - but its all gone. Great memories though - the best. My dad had 2 Peach and two Apricot trees in the back yard -just Fabulous. He had just found Kiwi Fruit and they were just starting to bear fruit..I went back to see his cottage and it was a parking lot on third ave in center of Sequim. Thats progress..
