Is the bid placed incrementally?

Hello, I have a question about how this works. If there is an auction, say 2 days left. Currently has a bunch of people who've bid it up to $45.00. Say the top price I"m willing to pay is $65.00. If I put that in as my snipe amount - does my bid at the end come in at $65? Or just enough over the current bid to win? Like if the high bid is only $56.00, would I come in at right above $56.00 or the full $65.00?

Hello ragdoll, and welcome! The amount you set with AS as your maximum bid is the one that will be entered at the pre-set time. It's eBay that whittles your bid down until it's just enough to win. Go ahead -- give it your best shot with confidence! You'll only be liable to pay for just what it takes to win, no more. Good luck!
