Is Sniping Anonymous?

Greetings,

I would like to know who knows you are using snipe software. Is the seller aware you won their auction using a snipe bid? I ask because as a seller I once received an email from a buyer that contained information about sniping software. Because of that I assumed he had won my auction by sniping.

Just curious. There are some sellers that don't like sniping so I want to know if the sellers will know I sniped the auction.

As AS bids as if it was you then no-one will know unless:
a. you tell them
b. you have AS's stoopid Instamail turned on

Solutions:
a. don't tell 'em
b. turn it off at Modify Account under My Snipes

If you click on that link R2 provided, you'll see the InstaMail option. Here's the text for it:
With this feature turned on, Auction Sniper will instantly email the seller of any auction that you win requesting payment details. You can even customize the email that we send.
