Thanks Rick. I've learned 2 new things: BIN and NARU!
Steve, (I don't know if you're being sarcastic or not.) "Leap Frog" is a name brand of some very outstanding educational toys for children. I wish they would have had these things when my kids were small. They are utterly fantastic and unfortunately VERY expensive.
My grandchildren have a "Baby Tad" - teaches 6 different shapes and colors and plays lullabys at bedtime. They have a "Baby Lily" that teaches counting and body parts. There's a bus for letters, letter sounds, and numbers. A drum for learning the alphabet and counting to 10. There's even a radio that sings a little ditty for a letter and it gives the pronounciation of the letter and you can play a game of finding a letter - it sings the song, gives the pronounciation and the child has to find the correct letter.
Leap Frog has a LOT of educational items. Almost 2 years ago, they branched out to children in elementary and middle schools. You can download Spelling, Math and I think English, from the internet and it teaches kids a fun way to learn. The "memory card" - for lack of a better description - is inserted into the toy and the child actually plays a game while he/she learns. Since Leap Frog has had such great success, Fisher Price and Playskool have also started doing the same thing. I think the Leap Frog is better because it's mainly a child's voice that you hear. The other two sound too much like an adult. I highly recommend that anyone with small children get them started with Leap Frog. They are absolutely wonderful. Best thing since sliced bread!
Do I sound like a walking advertisement for Leap Frog?
lol
Six inches Lord, that's all I need!
