I just looked at 7 auctions for "Leap Frog" things and each time I tried to view them I get this message:

"Invalid Item
The item you requested (3129710474) is invalid, still pending, or no longer in our database. Please check the number and try again. If this message persists, the item has either not started and is not yet available for viewing, or has expired and is no longer available."

Each of these auctions has anywhere from 2 to 4 days left running.

Is it me or is it eBay?

Thanks Rick. I've learned 2 new things: BIN and NARU! Smile

Steve, (I don't know if you're being sarcastic or not.) "Leap Frog" is a name brand of some very outstanding educational toys for children. I wish they would have had these things when my kids were small. They are utterly fantastic and unfortunately VERY expensive.

My grandchildren have a "Baby Tad" - teaches 6 different shapes and colors and plays lullabys at bedtime. They have a "Baby Lily" that teaches counting and body parts. There's a bus for letters, letter sounds, and numbers. A drum for learning the alphabet and counting to 10. There's even a radio that sings a little ditty for a letter and it gives the pronounciation of the letter and you can play a game of finding a letter - it sings the song, gives the pronounciation and the child has to find the correct letter.

Leap Frog has a LOT of educational items. Almost 2 years ago, they branched out to children in elementary and middle schools. You can download Spelling, Math and I think English, from the internet and it teaches kids a fun way to learn. The "memory card" - for lack of a better description - is inserted into the toy and the child actually plays a game while he/she learns. Since Leap Frog has had such great success, Fisher Price and Playskool have also started doing the same thing. I think the Leap Frog is better because it's mainly a child's voice that you hear. The other two sound too much like an adult. I highly recommend that anyone with small children get them started with Leap Frog. They are absolutely wonderful. Best thing since sliced bread!

Do I sound like a walking advertisement for Leap Frog? Big Grin lol

Crafty, I'm rarely sarcastic, and never so with the fair sex. My child-raising and -educating is decades behind me. There have been mnemonic devices in child instruction for centuries; I remember from my childhood a record that played a song to which the words were the alphabet. I drove my parents to distraction, not only by playing that record over and over again, but then by singing the little song over and over again after I'd memorized it. Roll Eyes

Anyway, an old mountain man sez "Thankee kindly, ma'am" for explaining what Leap Frog thingies are. Smile

I'm glad to have been of help. If I sounded rude, I do apologize. I didn't mean to. Smile

I'm know what you mean about the records - drove my parents crazy as well.

When my kids were little, they came out with the See & Say. Pull the string, watch something go around and when it ended, you heard the letter or the sound that an animal makes.

Now my grandchildren come along and here's Leap Frog. If educational toys get better as time goes on, I can't begin to imagine what my great-grandchildren will have for educational toys. It's mind boggling to me.
