I am getting this error message on many but not all of my snipes now. Never used to have this error come up. This problem is very recent. What is going on and how do I fix it?

Channing, are you by any chance using your e-mail address as your user id? EBay is no longer allowing members to use their e-mail addresses and accordingly, AS can no longer snipe with them. If you are one of the ones so "caught," please change your eBay user id and then use "Modify Account" on the main snipe page to change it on AS. 
This seems to be it. It was not that my userid was my e-mail, but EBay certainly used to let one sign in by e-mail address or userid. Wonder why AS worked sometimes.
Some sellers mised out on selling to me at higher bids. I wonder how they would feel about EBay's service on this issue?
