I was attempting to place a snipe on a single item reserve auction and AS kept giving me an "invalid quantity" error.

I tried many things to attempt to resolve it, but couldn't. I tried changing the quantity to other values from the default of 1 to things that shouldn't work (and didn't), like 0 and 2. I tried logging out and back in. I tried rebooting my computer. Nothing worked. I couldn't find any reference to such an occurance in the search engine or FAQ section.

I eventually solved it by logging in via the secure.auctionsniper.com method and it finally accepted my original snipe exactly as I tried to enter it many times before (with quantity of 1). It took me the better part of 15 - 20 minutes to figure it out and since it finally accept my original bid amount, I am not sure why one method vs the other make any difference. ***technical note (maybe you are using load balanced servers and one was having problems and the switch between http port 80 and https port 443 cause me to be directed to a different one?)***

Anyone else seen this behavior before?

I too kept receiving the invalid quantity message when trying to set up a snipe. This is only my second snipe and it is on a big ticket item, so I was getting quite frustrated.! I tried everything I could think of and nothing worked, until I logged in as LD suggested. Thanks a heap.

Ok...there's something similar. It happened again and both items are cars. Big ticket item...possibly a car for you too Krusty?

The board denied me when trying to add a car to a bid group saying that something with ebaymotors caused problems and therefore cars can't be in bid groups...is there something else that has to do with ebaymotors that AS is choking on?
I beleive that I have fixed this problem. I tried adding a snipe for a car from eBay Motors, and it was also giving me the invalid quantity message. So I'm guessing that eBay may have changed the way they format these pages.

Anyway, it should be fixed. If you continue to get this message, please let me know the item #.

Thanks
Adam
