Info on Snipe being too low

I current have an item that is on my snipe list for a $20 bid but the current bid for the item is $31. I am not getting the normal yellow banner indicating snipe too low and I have not gotten any warning email either. My preferences are set to get me these. I have tried doing an update prices as well as exiting and re-entering and restarting the browser as well.

and about an hour or so after I posted, I got the "bid too low" notice on the item. got another one on it about 20 minutes later as well as one on another item.

seems to be working now? just as a comment, the ebay bid that was higher than my snipe had apparently been posted almost 24 hours earlier. how often does the system update - hopefully more than once a day....

Once a day when the auction is first started, and then sooner as the auction draws closer to the end, down to about 20 minutes during the final hours.

Seems AS only shows the yellow banner and transmits emails about a day in advance of an auction. I found instances where a couple of days go by for an auction that's several days out and no banner is displayed despite my low bid vs current price.
