Other pointers if you haven't already seen them: 1) 8+ second lead time, Sunday PM longer; 2) check out Instamail; 3) delete bid groups after using. There's a great "search" feature towards the top of the forum page.

Like Rick says, check out the forums, because there are a few idiosyncrasies here and there, plus you may not be too fond of the Instamail feature, you might want to read that information carefully.

We've all saved hundreds (and even thousands of $) so this has been well worth it.

I used to use a sniping tool - don't rememer the name, but it went by the wayside several years back. So I wnet back to just bidding. But I got so tired of losing things, and went looking for a new tool. AS was the best!

I just won an item that I wanted really really badly. The sweetest part is that I out-sniped a sniper! I had my lead time set to 7 seconds (after checking that is wasn't going to end at a "flood" time") Looking at the bids I see someone bid at about 12 seconds from the end. SWEET! This was my third "freebie" and I am signed up. The ironic thing is that when I first heard about sniping I was ticked, thought it un fair etc. but now I am a convert. Let the bargins begin.
