I won thanks to AS but seller has not responded to my email asking for payment information. On the item he said not to use checkout but that he would send an email with payment info. When I did not receive email first day, I emailed him, this was 3 days ago and still no response. How do I handle this? I would really like to complete the sale and received the item. All of his feedback has been positive saying he was very fast & efficient and items were as described.

I'd give him a little longer. I know it's stressful, but his feedback speaks for itself. I've had this happen a couple of times, and it has always been some emergency that came up. If he has over 5,000 feedback, then he's probably a large company, and one person being gone shouldn't make any difference.

I would definitely send him another email - they do sometimes get lost. Then, I'd probably wait a week. After that, you could come back for some more ideas.
Suz,

Another idea is to see if he's been on ebay lately. See if he's placed a proxy bid (if it's a snipe, he might be using AS which could be scheduled in advance), check to see if he's left someone feedback, and check to see if he has any new listings. If he's done any of that, then he's probably around and another email is warrented. In your email you can mention that you know he's signed on (tell him how you know), and that you are concern, and so forth. Also, check his feedback for auctions ending on the same day that yours did. The last idea could take a couple of weeks, but if you don't see feedback from others, then he's probably away, and if you do, he probably didn't get your email.

In any event, after 3 days, another email should be sent. But remember, he's most likely away or he didn't get your first email.
I've had something of the sort happen to me on occasion, and it's either been like Rick said, a personal emergency, or else the seller's computer has crashed big-time. You could check to see whether he's listed or sold anything since the date your auction closed. Be patient and keep trying -- and keep copies of your efforts to e-mail him, for your own protection.
Thanks for all of your help. I checked and he had one other sale the same day and got positive feedback on it. He does have some other items up for bid. I sent him a second email requesting payment info as he had stated in caps not to use ebay pay function that he would send a invoice by email. He doesn't take PayPal, but does take BidPay which I have never used.

Hopefully he will answer this email.

Thanks again.

Now I'm happy. The seller emailed me invoice. You were right. He said that they were having really ugly storms and that they had been keeping him off the computer for past few days. He said items were consignment and he was not making enough on them to cover cost of PayPal thats why he was requesting checks/money orders/or certified funds only. Check is made out, I kept a copy and its on its way. Plus if he doesn't send item, I know where he lives its only about a 2 hour drive from me. LOL Actually based on his feedback (102) 100% positive last 6 months with no negatives, I think he is on the up & up.
Thank you again for all the help.

Suz, I've sold things on consignment and you can betcha the seller was giving you the straight scoop. He sounds honest and open with his buyers, and his feedback record is limited but impressive. I wouldn't hesitate to buy from him.

Glad things got straightened around. They have a way of sorting out after a while. Smile
