I was already high bidder and was charged for a snipe

I was already high bidder for an auction (1685596947) but I forgot I had put auction sniper on that item too. I was charged for a snipe when my own bid was the one that won. Can I be credited a snipe?

also.. I got someone to sign up for auction sniper and they used me as a reference and I wasn't credited ant snipes...Do I have to have a link from a ebay page to get free snipes?
