Just out of curiosity, what is it that you collect? It must be big to be outside now! Cars? Refrigerators? heehee.

Well, I collect "moose" and gardening books but so far I've managed to find room for them all indoors.

Does that mean you collect certain kinds of hair-dressings too? Oh, sorry...I was thinking of "mousse."

I don't know, I might look pretty cool with a moose on my head.

I collect oriental Foo Dogs (sometimes referred to as Foo Lions) So far, have around a hundred pairs ranging from a few inches to couple of feet (shipping gets pretty high here).
So if anyone's got any, let me know.

Well, I'm not married, but I've had so much fun using AS, I've become addicted and maybe it will be safe to say that its possible to win too many auctions.

I might as well start my own sniping collection and put it on display outside.

I buy vintage fabrics and clothes and like you others I find that I can't bid on everything I would like to buy. I have a limited amount of eBay money that I set aside each month though now I've begun selling the money I get from that goes back into collecting. Also being based in UK I pay higher shipping charges so I have to watch my budget. Sometimes there are 3 or more potential snipes for me in one night but I can only afford say, 2. Using AS helps because it means I can lurk and watch several upcoming auctions that I'm potentially interested in but without committing myself to a bid on any of them until very late. If I see the bidding on an item heading over my true max I can quickly move on to one with fewer or no bidders. Other times I see something I feel like bidding on when it first appears - but then I see a better item coming up in a few days - so I delete the first from my list. AS helps me to be flexible in this way and almost to treat eBay as though it were a department store where I can pick and choose.

That's why I really love AS. I bid on something and later decide it was an impulse buy. I can cancel. Something Ebay frowns upon. I also collect vintage fabric, linens, etc. I particularly love the old 30's/40's colorful tablecloths that you can bleach the heck out of and they never fade.

My passion is smaller fine leather goods, like purses and shoes (Tignanello, Aigner and Perlina, also some Bernini)Also, as my username would suggest, anything about the Irish author Oscar Wilde! I used to collect vintage clotes and accessories, but I sort of quit, as I am "that age" now, and feel a bit foolish wearing my WWII swing clothes and shoes anymore! Will most likely put em up on Ebay and turn em into Paypal funds for ..... more Ebay stuff! Life's short, bid on!
