The bad thing about the old user name was that everybody assumed that I'm a guy. Why do people think only guys like neat old cars? Women do, too!

Umm...people think that because it is generally true! Only a few REALLY COOL women like neat old cars!

You could girly-ized the old ID name by sticking a "Ms.", "Mrs.", or "Miss" in front, or a "Queen", "Princess", or "Girl" at the end of it? Just a thought...

I knew the reference to the whole Ford Falcons thingie, but its a BIG deal over here.
You are either Ford or Holden(GMH) over here, its a HUGE big competition, we even have a whole car racing series called the V8 Supercars that are dedicated to this wicked rivalry.
Its weird I think you are either born Holden or Ford, we are a HOLDEN family Smile

I am the weakest link?
Thanks, Jabber. There are too few of us "cool" women around. Big Grin EBay wouldn't let me take Falcongal or a few similar ones. Apparently they were already taken.
Lexie, if anyone here would know that a Falcon is a car, it would probably be you. Razz The Falcon club says that they still make them over there. Here they were made from 1960 to 1970. I have a 1967 sedan and a 1966 sports coupe that's not running yet. (long story behind the 1966, lol) P.S.--Nice pictures. Sounds like the goat keeps you busy keeping him out of mischief.
Sorry Puppy, no pet birds of prey here. Particularly not with a small dog....

Rick, I don't know anything about XC coupes. Ford made Falcons, Falcon Futuras, Falcon Futura Sports Coupes, and Falcon Sprints as well as a Falcon van in the US. I think that either the Australian or Argentine series of Falcons has or had some cars with letter abbreviations on them. Both countries have/had a Falcon series, too. There might have been an XC. There was an issue of the Falcon News about them. Now if I can find it....

Good point.

Probably others already know this, but the forum's search feature allows searching on URL's, such as those in pictures (including signature pictures) or in links. It seems to support an "*" at the end for generic searches.
My Dad's first "second" car was a 1960 Powder Blue Falcon. It was most memorable for being so underpowered. When my teenaged (at the time) sisters took it out with their friends, Dad didn't worry, 'cause it couldn't go more than 50 mph on a GOOD day! Wink He later traded it for a '64 Mustang! Yeah!

Lexie, thanks for the AU Ford site. The current version of the Falcon looks like a nice car, other than the fact that the steering wheel is on the WRONG side! Razz Big Grin

BTW Lexie, I like your smilie mini-drama with the bug in your sig! Big Grin

The bug problem is one I face every summer and I can often be heard to chuck an absolute whammy whilst riding my horse around the farm. Bloody flies just cant seem to take the hint that I dont want them swarming all over me!!!!

Problem is that screaming at them with every nasty word I know doesnt seem to help either, all it does is rattle the horse and give the neighbours a chuckle Confused

Cool site! Now I know what I want when my daily driver (not a Falcon) gives out. Another Falcon Futura--might as well make it a trio! But you're right, Jabber, the steering wheel is on the right side of the car. I wonder how hard it would be to have one made with the steering wheel on the left, if that's possible? Oh, well. Hopefully by the time the daily car wears out, the other two will be dependable enough that a third one won't be necessary.
This new posting ID is probably too long for this forum. How does Falcon Goddess sound? Razz

But Rick, those nibblers are cute! Most of the nibblers that come in here whine and throw tantrums. Big Grin (Not that I've noticed....) Eek Some can be taught. Others have made up their minds and aren't about to be confused by the facts. Big Grin Big Grin
And of course I wouldn't mind you posting on here, even if it were totally off topic. Threads always change and/or get hijacked. It's supposed to happen. It must be in the rules somewhere.
The weekend is coming. That means enough angry nibblers and newbies will be in here to keep us all busy.
