I have only ever 'sniped' an item once before and it was a long, long time ago. So, I am worried about my lead time. My item ends today (Friday) at 8:50a.m.est. (05:50:50 PDT. Is a 5 second lead time okay for this time or should I add a few more seconds? I am going to be so heartbroken if I lose this item!! Smile
Thanks!

Welcome to our forum! Most important is to remember it is the largest amount bid that usually wins so place your snipe at the max you want to pay. As for the timing,I usually use 8 seconds and have never lost a bid because of this. I know some use 5 seconds so that might work also! Good luck and remember, there are always more of the same coming up on Ebay eventually! Smile
5 seconds should work fine. AS may adjust your lead time if they think there is a chance your bid won't make it in time.

To many worry to much about when their bid is placed. Most bids placed very late in the auction were planed and will be entered no matter when (or even if) your bid is placed.

Their time would be better spent determining what max they are willing to pay.

Oh, and remember you can't edit a snipe in the last 2-3 minutes of the auction.

Good Luck !!
