Thanks Guys for beeing there.

Only 3 Days ago I found out about AS.
My first 3 free snipes
"I won all"
Because of you, a non profit org with lots of poor children, have now a DJ set-up and are able to mix theire favorite musics, and all that for very low Money.
Thank you from all the Kids.

Well, Auctionsniper is better then I, I wasnt bad I made it up to 3 Seconds before closing, but AS is not to beat and since I am a winner I choosed to try AS.
I will sign up and pay for sniping, it is realy worth it.

Question;
What if everybody has sniping? Is the Ebay server going to blow up at 2 sec's before closing then?LOL

Interesting to see.
Thanks again.
I will be around.

DJ,

A word of caution. Check prior posts, but one of the common complaints comes from placing a snipe under 5 seconds. Actually, it is often recommended by other users to give a 8 or even 10 second lead time. I'd recommend doing a search using "seconds". You'll get a lot of posts, but those posts will do a much better job than I can.
Well, it's pretty risky to go below 5 seconds ... I blew away a competitor today using 4 seconds, but that was pushing it, and I knew it. However, it was extremely satisfying!

I shouldn't ;-) ... but I'll share this:

When in a reserve price auction, and when there are probably some people laying low, waiting for someone else to "fish" for the reserve price, do this --

Do lots of annoying, small increments ... work slowly up to the reserve price, provided it's in a price range that's acceptable to you. Do this no less than two days away from the auction end. After manually placing ever higher "maximum amounts," get to the reserve price and then DISAPPEAR. WAIT for others to come sniffing, maybe someone else will place a bid just above you, maybe they'll just wait in the weeds.

Chances are, they'll think you've topped out, that you're pretty sure you're the only one interested, that you're oblivious to the last minute sniffer. Then place a maximum price/snipe at AS for a price that's a comfortable cushion above your last posted bid, above all but what the most bloodthirsty bidders might bid, people who HAVE to have that item. Make sure your very MAXIMUM bid is still comfortable to you.

Set the lead time at 5 or under ... 4 is pushing it, maybe 5 is still best for safety. I used 4 seconds today and blew someone away who was sniffing around, testing the waters with a timid, "slight elevation bid" during the last two minutes of an important auction for me.

It was SO-O-O satisfying to blow right past using AS, and snatch the auction ... hehehe.
The whole point of sniping is to show no interest until the last second--to minimize the chance that folks who don't bid their maximum will respond at the last minute.

I recommend you decide what your max is and bid it at the last few seconds, regardless of whether or not there is a reserve. Stick with one price and you will either win it or be outbid by someone who was willing to pay more than you were. Whether or not there is a reserve is inconsequential when you snipe. Big Grin
Hi
Before Auctionsniper I made it up to 3-5 seconds before closing.
I have nerves and an good sence of guessing seconds.

I found out about sniping because I put in 3 sec's before and someone else did put in 2 Sec's before.

I went to Ebay Community and they told me that you exist.

So If I bid without sniping about 5-3 sec's , why shouldn't I use AS to do that 2 sec'before.

I got back to that Person who bid and threw me out.
I asked him what snipe he used and he didnt even know what that is, writing back to me to let him know what I found out, we are Friends since then.

He bid 2 sec's before withou sniping ( now he is also on AS).

If you can do it then do it.

I use AS and will continue to do so.
Because of AS I got a professional Dual Cd Player for $66, that thing costs about $800 new.
Pro. Headphones set with Mic for $21 and
2 wireless Microphones with recieverfor only $26.
"HELLO"
Without AS I wouldnt have gotten that stuff. Razz

Thank you AS.

I have used AS for 2+ years and it is always set to throw in the bid at 2 seconds prior to auction's ending. I have never lost an item unless I just didn't bid high enough.
When I find something I want..I put it on 'My Ebay Watch List', when I decide I really want it, I put my Top Bid in AS and then 'I wait in the bushes'. They never see me until it's all over. Big Grin
