Today I posted a message in a moment of frustration. Had I stepped back for a moment before letting my fingers fly I would in all likelihood not have said what I did, or would have said it in a much nicer way.

Sometimes I forget that there are real people behind each username; people that may already be in physical or mental turmoil. Regardless, no one needs me leaving them hurtful messages. Even if the other user had been nasty to me, I should always try to take the high road. My mother always told me that if I didn't have something nice to say, say nothing at all. She's been gone for a few years now, but she sure gave me a scolding today!

Yes Puppy - lots of angry faces, not too many !! at this stage. Poor Sara.

BJ - I understand what you are saying, and yes my mum said the ole "if you havent got anything nice to say...dont say anything at all"...but...I dont believe its the healthy thing to do all the time. We are all people behind the usernames, and real people have ups and downs, they also have opinions and views that wont be the same. Sure, there's nice ways to say things and then not-so-nice....but the written word doesnt always translate into other ppls minds the same ways in was intended.

I dont mind a little conflict on the forum, if I ever find myself getting too caught up in it, I just remind myself that it is just a forum.

I am sure most of us could do a little apologising around the threads.

Mrs. M - Hopefully it wasn't too evident, but I know my intentions behind the posting Frown

Lexie - I don't mind a little heated debate either, but not when it starts getting hateful Wink
