Sorry all. I am so thoroughly ticked right now that I am ready to spit nails!! Mad Mad Mad

I purchased a plastic Precious Moments plate from a seller for $1.25. Good price. S/H was $4.99. OK, I can live with that. The last time I paid high S/H like that, it took me over 20 minutes to get through all of the bubble wrap and packing tape! So I was willing to pay the high S/H.

I received the plate with one wrap of bubble wrap and 2 wraps of packing tape. It was shipped in a brown envelope. (The plate also had a hole in it, so it wasn't NEW as she advertised.) Cost of shipping - $1.28. Handling charge $3.71 - where did I get #3.50?

Anyway, I left the lady a positive feedback and also stated that the lady WAY overcharged for S/H. She leaves me negative feedback with this comment, "BUYERS READ FULL DESC./ALL S/H FEES STATED UPFRONT.DON'T BID IF U HAVE A PROBLEM" I didn't have a problem until the plate arrived and it was so poorly packaged. It seems that this lady has done this to others as well. And I look at happening a couple of more times. Those poor buyers!

I guess I'm just ticked at the negative. Neutral I could understand. But negative? I paid within the alotted time. Thankfully I could leave a response to the negative.

Am I throwing a childish temper tantrum?

Thanks,
Crafty

I think your very lucky getting such a reasonable handling charge on a modest priced item.

If there was a hole in it and it was not new
tha'ts a new issue. You didn't have to keep it if it was misrepresented.

I just paid a $20.00 handling fee but it was stated in the advertisement. So I paid it and now read the entire listing.
I have also offered extra for double packing if I think there is a chance for damage.

I am a buyer only - I bought 170 items last year-
two were disasters - It happens - I did not give negative feedback. A camera I just bought arrived with no packing so I figure
the party wanted to cover-up a item that was already broken. That to me deserves a negative.
Hope you have better luck - by the way I always write in the comment block. "If the item is well packed and as described I will give positive feedback." - mory
Mory - I've paid more for shipping and had to use scissors or knives to open packages and by the same token the reverse has happened. She does state in her description that the first item is $4.99 and $2.50 for each additional item. Charges like that, I'll only buy one thing. $2.50 for each additional item? She has to be on some seriously cheap crack! Wink More often than not, I don't mind the shipping. It comes with the territory. This instance just got under my skin when she left the negative.

There was a guy that I bought 4 heavy (and I do mean heavy) garment bags from. He had a bunch of them up for auction. Most started at a penny and the most expensive ones were around $25 (give or take a dollar.) The guy offered combined shipping for multiple wins. So I bid on 4 of the penny start auctions. I think the most expensive bag I won - thanks to AS - was around $2, but instead of combining shipping, he charged me exact shipping for EACH bag! I think the shipping was just under $7. I went 'round and 'round and 'round with this guy about the shipping. I finally gave up and left a neutral (the bags were great, just as advertised) but I also stated the total cost of the 4 auctions and that he charged me $24+ for shipping. (The guy told me that IF I had won 4 of the more expensive bags, he would have combined the shipping, but since I had won 4 of the lower start bags, then he would lose too much money in combining the shipping. This was the first time that I had ever had a problem with overcharging on the shipping. Started paying a little closer attention, but evidently not enough.

Lexie - I emailed the lady about the plate and she offered to take it back to WalMart where she got it and replace it for me. I thought that was OK. I left the positive and then 2 days later, I got another email from her stating that once she received the plate and went to send me the new one, then I would have to re-pay the S/H. I told her that that was OK, that I was a crafter and could fix it myself, that I couldn't afford another $5 for shipping. Never heard from her again. I thought the matter would be closed. Boy, was I wrong!!!

I just came back from WalMart. They had a Precious Moments toddler plate set - plate, bowl, and sippy cup. $4.96 So now I can't help but wonder if this lady took the set apart and sold each item individually. So now I'm really TICKED!!!

One other thing Lexie - what filter?

Thanks all,

No I Don't Sell Anything, I only buy...
My Evil Thought was you need another chance to
evaluate the seller if the same thing happens.
say what's appropriate..
Tool sellers on E-Bay are famous for "Parting Out" Look at Cordless Drills and you will see Battery Not Included - case Not Included - Charger Not Included - Second Battery Not included. The parts are listed on other auctions.
Add them all and you will be 50 to $100 over retail. Its a business.
Take a Pro Drill like DeWalt - the battery is 85 to $150. A homeowner doesn't NEED a second battery so he sells it to reduce his set cost, Then the Pro roofer buys the extra battery so he can work all day without charging. That makes sense. But showing a picture of a full drill set...and bury in the description "No Battery" Or "No Charger" you know what they are doing. Like 2003 Mercedes - no tires - Cheap.
It's a shame there are people like that who are
giving E-Bay a bad rap. There are so many honest dealers - I hope you recover from this bad sting. mory

Please forgive me for my language. I do apologize to anyone that I have offended.

This just in:

Follow-up by mycutestrawberry: COMPLAINS/ PAYS LATE! SELLERS BEWARE! PLEASE DON'T BID/WON'T SELL 2 U ANYWAY! FB

I have reported her to eBay and I have done something that I have NEVER done before - I have requested a refund through PayPal stating that the item was not as described. The plate had a hole in it!

Rules of her auction - Payment due in 7 days. Auction ended on 1/20. I paid THROUGH PayPal on 1/26. Am I late?

Thanks,

Thanks Lexie. Unfortunately, I can't find a way to make a second response. I just wanted it known that I had paid in time and that I wasn't late!!!

UPDATE:

Evidently the seller got the emails from eBay & PayPal that she was under investigation. I received an email from her today and she was asking me that if the plate wasn't as advertised, why would I leave positive feedback. I basically told her everything that I had said in this thread. I guess I'll still wait and see what happens. I did tell her that I was going to keep track of how many people she messes over and that I hoped that the others that she had already given negatives to would do the same thing that I had done. Guess I'm sounding vindictive now! Bad Crafty Bad Girl!!

Thanks for trying though. I really appreciate it.
