Being the cynical New Yorker that I am I really did not think this could work, but just won two auctions back to back and was bidding against the same person in both auctions.

I have been able to avoid getting caught up in the last minute "gotta have it" syndrome, and not pay too much.

BigDawg, I'd suggest that you hang onto that "high-tech stuff" against a future need. AS is very reliable but sometimes it hits a down interval. Draftech, I agree that AS helps to quiet the "gotta have it [at any price] right now" syndrome. Just put your max bid out there and let it ride. If you don't get it, another one will come up on eBay sooner or later.
