Does it emulates HTML requests from a browser? Does it use the eBay API to place bids?

Thanks Rick. So, no API, just HTML scraping. I presume this apply also to the non biding operations such as checking who won the bid.
I hope that AS have flexible enough HTML scraping that is not sensitive to minor changes in eBay pages.

Unfortunately, it is somewhat sensitive to these changes. But, fortunately, AS is usually quick to fix them, and a good number of them, AS learns about in advance. After all, if snipes aren’t being placed, AS isn’t making any money. But, if something isn’t working, checking the forum is a good way to learn about it. On those occasions when AS does go down, all hell breaks loose on the forum with posts from somewhat heated users.
