okay so say the high bidder right now on an item has a max bid of $10. I place a max bid of $20.

(1) if the other guy doesn't bid again, do i automatically have to pay $20? or do i have to pay like $10.01?

(2) if the guy bids again but gives up before beating me and bids $15 and i win, do i pay $20 or like $15.01?

thanks. Smile

Sorry, I think I'm being dense, but this thread got hijacked to say hello to people rather than answer the question that I hoped it would...

So, say I set a snipe for 7 seconds and a maximum bid of $10 and the auction is currently at $6. At 7 seconds before the end of the auction auctionsnipe will place a bid of $10 on my behalf and the ebay proxy bid logic will turn that into a bid of $6.50, or whatever proxy bid up to $10 is needed to win the auction. Correct?
