How do you win snipes when there is a reserve price? | Auction Sniper

Hi- this is the first time for the forum but I have been using AS for a year or so...love it, but how do you handle sellers reserve prices..There was an item that I was attempting to snipe with a snipe of $41.50; other people were bidding - when it closed the closing bid was $16.50 and it closed as reserve not met. If the bidders do not meet the reserve price, does this mean that the snipe is not placed at all?

Ruffisrascal, I think it should have been placed because a snipe is really a proxy placed at the last moment, unless the snipe was not enough to meet the reserve.

I can't imagine why AS would even keep track of whether an auction had a reserve or not. Give the auction # and I think Sara can confirm and give free snipes. Your bid clearly did not get to eBay, or the closing price would have been what you bid.

No, we place all snipes.

Simple. Put your snipe in for more than the reserve price.
