How do i automate a "if...then" type bid?

Nope. Referred to "contingency" (I think) bidding. AS doesn't support it. They have bid groups, which will keep bidding "until" you win a specified number of auctions.

I think it's also been called "reverse bid groups" as well.

I think it would be an awesome thing to have not only for individual items, but also bid groups?

Is there any reason why it could not legally or programming-wise done?

It's been requested probably a half-dozen+ times on this forum. AS' forum moderator likes the idea (if my memory hasn't stopped working), but that's as far as anything I've heard.

Part of the issue is the complexity for new users. New users sometimes find the bid groups hard to understand.
