For auction 2363063351, a snipe bid of $7.53 wouldn't be accepted because there was already a high bid of $7.55 from the winning bidder (that was also his/her maximum bid in this case). You would have needed a snipe of at least $7.55+one bid increment (whatever it is at that level - I don't know it for sterling let alone dollars) for eBay to accept the bid.
The winning bid came in well before the end of the auction so I would go further and say that not only would the snipe not be accepted but that it wouldn't have been placed in the first place because it was already known to be too low and you should have got a message to that effect from AS. Perhaps you did and got tied in a knot by them?
