Auction Sniper states that I am the high bidder, but yet I lost the auction. When I checked the bid history on ebay, It doesn't look like my bid was placed. Can you check this out and give me an explanation please? Thank you.
How long did you wait before checking the bidder history? It takes longer for eBay to update that than it does for eBay to send you a "high bidder" notice, which is sent almost immediately. I suggest you go back to the item and check the history again.
Ebay still does not show me as placing a bid. Auction sniper status under the My Snipes page states 'High' Bidder', yet the auction is over. Usually it states 'bid too low'. This item does not show up under Snipes I've Won, or Snipes I've Lost. Thanks.
It appears as though no bid was submitted by Auction Sniper, but I'll leave that for the tech specialists to consider. Obviously, no bid on your behalf reached eBay before the auction closed. Although Auction Sniper is far and away the best eBay snipe software I've ever used, it's not infallible. Sorry.
Auction Sniper always sends eBay the bid! :-) When you get a "High Bidder" status message, this means that your maximum bid through Auction Sniper was the same as your current bid for this item.
For example, there is a TV for sale and you are already the high bidder at $200.00.
You snipe for $200.00.
The status message will be "High Bidder."
If you could provide me with the item #, I can show you the confirmation we received from eBay when we sniped for you!
