High bid same as another, time deciding factor

Does AS send the time I sniped an item to ebay to use? I lost a bid with another person that ended up with the same high bid as mine but ebay shows he bid first by 45 minutes before the end of auction and my bid just seconds from the end when I had entered the snipe days earlier. If not presently used could this be done in the future?

E, always add a few pence/cents to your snipe (12.03 instead of 12.00), that way you're less likely to lose in that situation. Read up on proxy bidding and read AS's FAQs so that you fully understand how AS bids as if it was you!
